It has been a gorgeous fall, delivering the usual foliage and some much needed rain. The maples still have their leaves which will be lost to the rain and wind of Phillipe The gardeners hard work is done for the year, the last flower bouquet on the table.
The forecasts are dire, promising torrential rain and damaging wind, and I am glad to be distracted from the shenanigans of the man in the White House and his acolytes. They are promising a different disaster, one that will swamp young and old with debt. We are living in a new gilded age where those at the tiny top drive gold Ferraris, and everyone else wonders how to get by. The shining edge of a dystopia, an eclipsed land. It is dark, but we know there is light still shimmering at the edge.
